About

I am a health services researcher interested in alcohol use and misuse, particularly among adults with chronic conditions, and how to better harness the health care delivery system to reduce alcohol-related harms. This work draws from the fields of management and organizational behavior, health policy and administration, and alcohol and cardiovascular disease epidemiology.

My current research focuses on three major areas:

1. Identifying organizational and provider characteristics linked with the provision of quality alcohol-related care in health care settings.

2. Building the evidence for behavioral health integration by better understanding the role of alcohol use in the management and progression of chronic conditions.

3. Developing and evaluating innovative policy and clinical solutions to increase identification of alcohol problems and engagement in treatment services, particularly within established care settings.
